Before I ve send list of books that I like... but some people told me - I dont want to read! Just say how I can impove my skills faster and thats all I need...
Hmmm...
Well, I have bad news.
I think best advice that I can give to you - HARD WORK.
I took two photos of the same character, I really like first one when I took it, it was at 2009, and after that I took 115 shoots... Lets calculate. I ve spent around 6 hours each time to take photos. Each shoot have around 9 photos. I ve spent around 30 minutes to edit one photo.
So
115x6=690 hours taking photos
115x9=1035 photos
1035x30=31050 minutes of editing /60= 517 hours
To improve my skills like this I ve spent 1207 hours= 50 days. And thats only practice, btw I also read books and tutorials. (At least 2-3 book about photography, editing, and art in one month).
So, are you think I can give you some nice advice how to be cool photographer in two days? NO. If you want to do something good, you need to work everyday, and you will get big improvement. There are no magical secrets or tips.
Hope it was helpfull enough. (Ok, it wasnt usefull at all, but I hope you will got my idea XDDD)
