Last year in calendar

Hi guys, I was absent more than for month and it was a worst month in my life x_X
Well, everything still is very bad, but what can I do? (Well in my situation - nothing).

Also it was super hot in Ukraine this month... I think you've heard about abnormal weather here in Ukraine and Russia. Even now its still hot, but not that crazy WEATHER FROM MARS @_@ like two weeks ago =_=

People now are scared and everywhere in intenet I saw tons of scary "breaking" news about Apocalypse in the 2012 year, because it is a last year in the Maya's calendar. Ok, its just  irritate me. I am remeber like in 1999 year they also said "Its an last year of our planet, cause 1999 have 666 (upside down)". After that "No, Apocalypse will be in 2000 cause its the scary number!" After that "NO! Last year is 2001 cause its first year in new millenium!!!" And now this "last year in Maya's calendar" thing.

Ok, I will tell you small story from my childhood, and you will understand why I am so sceptical about this idea with calendar. My grandmother (yes, my Cosplay granny, lol) is Orthodox Christian (also she is super-naive person) and when I was small, she is always showed me hand-made calendar with dates of Orthodox Christian's celebrates. And it was like a list on each year. And last one was 2000 year. So, granny made scary eyes and told me that 2000 year is the last year of our planet, cause her calendar have no more. LOL, I was REALLY scared (I was small and thought that all her words are true), and didn't understand why people still go to work and scholl if they know about this scary calendar... So, granny always showed that calendar and tells that in 2000 Jesus will come to Earth and each dead person will come to life, and Jesus will judge us all at that day... And when 2000 year come my grandmother throwed out calendar and this story was first thing that turn me to an atheism xDDD

So now, when I've heard about that "last year in Maya's calendar" I though "Oh, yeeeaaahhh... I know the one =_="
